Q: What is Companion Connection Senior Care? Are you a franchise?

A: No. Companion Connection Senior Care is a National Membership Organization. It is dedicated to assisting qualified individuals start their own business providing non-medical companion home care.

Q: What is Companion care?

A: Companion care is non-medical care provided by qualified individuals.
Companions assist seniors and others with their activities of daily living (ADLs), which includes supervision, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, transportation to and from doctor's appointments, and social interaction. Best of all, we provide this service where people are most comfortable - in their homes!

Q: Are companion services covered by insurance providers?

A: The fact that Medicare and Medicaid do not provide coverage for companion care makes billing fast and easy. You get paid directly by the client and never have to deal with the bureaucratic hurdle that is insurance - or wait for them to reimburse you. In some instances, however, long term care insurance will cover non-medical home care.

A: A companion business requires minimal start up costs and is ideal to operate from the convenience of your home.

Q: Do I need a background in the healthcare industry to start my own
companion business?

A: No. Our start-up kit, training program and support staff will get you up and running quickly and easily.

Q: What kind of licenses or certifications do Companions need?

A: Companions require no formal training or certification in most states.

Q: What kind of people do I recruit to be Companions?

A: Companions often have prior experience working with other families and seniors. Companions can also be retired nurses who are looking for some part-time work to supplement their income, or mothers with grown children who enjoy nurturing the elderly. Most important, Companions have a desire to help other people.

Q: Do you provide training?

A: Yes. Companion Connection Senior Care will train you and provide you with all the tools you need to start your business. Our operations manual, recruitment manual and live training program will prepare you for every eventuality you are likely to encounter. Q: Will I have a territory and will it be protected?

A: Yes. As long as you remain a member in good standing, we will not sell to another member in your territory.

Q: Is there a lot of competition in this business?

A: While there is competition in every business, the overwhelming demand for home care services far outstrips the current supply of services.
